Cliffs Notes

So I don’t know how many of you are familiar with “Cliffs Notes”, but in a nutshell, they are a very condensed version of a longer manuscript, such as a book, play or even text book. They were popular when I was going to college, although I have to admit that I did not use them. Not because of some ethical thing, but because I did not even study hard enough that Cliffs Notes would ave been brief enough to hold my concentration.

This journal will be a Cliffs Notes version of my usual fare. For a number of reasons. First, I was not feeling well early on in the week. Nora told me not to mention that in tonight’s entry, so lets move along. No snows fell pretty much all week, which was good because it gave me a chance to get Big Red back into the repair shop to fix that issue of going through sheer pins too quickly once and for all. I got it back on Thursday and am ready for business.

The snow we have is still great snow. We did climb above the freezing mark at the end of last week, including a 45 on Friday, but that did not cause too much of a meltdown, more of a settling of the snow. Many of the roads became clear and roofs too. I have not been out on the trails, but would imagine that they had some bumps with the weather and traffic over the weekend, but fresh snow looks to fall tomorrow into Tuesday and will make things all nice and fresh. In a nutshell, all is well, just not a lot of entertaining things to talk about!

Good Night from the Keweenaw..
